Georgetown Man Charged with Dealing Child Pornography

Child Predator Task Force investigation leads to multiple counts

Georgetown – An investigation by the Delaware Child Predator Task Force along with the Delaware State Police has resulted in the arrest of a member of the Delaware Army National Guard on 25 counts of dealing in child pornography, Attorney General Beau Biden announced today. Jeffrey H. Dingman, 51, of 23522 Ann Lane in Georgetown, was taken into custody on August 15 following the discovery of multiple digital images of child pornography in his possession.

“Every time an image of child pornography is viewed, the child in that photograph or video is victimized all over again,” said Attorney General Biden. “The Child Predator Task Force has the skill and technology to find these predators, bring them to justice, and keep kids safe.”

On August 14, a student in a class Dingman was teaching at the Georgetown Armory observed images of child pornography on Dingman’s personal computer. Delaware State Police were quickly notified and initiated an investigation along with the Child Predator Task Force. In that investigation, Dingman’s computer was seized and multiple images of child pornography were found during a forensic preview. Dingman was arrested and charged with 25 counts of dealing in child pornography. He was arraigned at J.P. Court #2 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in lieu of $250,000 secured bail.

A mug shot of Dingman is available upon request.
